Hayle RSPB Hide 12th July

Today I ventured down to Hayle expecting the sun to disappear quickly after yesterdays persistant rain. Clouds kept coming and going but fortusously no rain! Not being on the ball today I did make a couple of mistakes due to lack of concentration and not checking the camera settings. I had changed to 100o ASA to try and get some images of swallows undercover, it turned out I was to close for the big 600mm but forgot to change it back. I realised a short time later. The last image is therefore somewhat grainy. I have attempted to remove this using noiseware and the result is included, best enlarged to appreciate the effect. If you like it the noiseware is free and available here http://www.imagenomic.com/. I didn't label any of the finches so help required here: yes looked at the guide possibly siskin, great tit, sparrow???? enlighten me. A Cormorant with some skilful fishing scared the gulls when he took his prize onto the shore. And also grabbed a couple of nice flight shots, Heron and Gull on what seemed a very quiet morning.

Cormorant and Gulls: Exif: Canon 1D MK111, 600mm lens, Aperture Priority, F5.6, 1/640 sec, ISO 400 and +0.7 stop.

Finch?: Exif: Canon 1D MK111, 600mm lens, Aperture Priority, F5.6, 1/230 sec, ISO 400 and +0.3 stop.

Heron: Exif: Canon 1D MK111, 600mm lens, Aperture Priority, F5.6, 1/4000 sec, ISO 400 and +0.3 stop.

Gull: Exif: Canon 1D MK111, 600mm lens, Aperture Priority, F5.6, 1/3200 sec, ISO 400 and +/-0 stop.

Great Tit? Exif: Canon 1D MK111, 600mm lens, Aperture Priority, F7.1, 1/200 sec, ISO 400 and +0.7 stop.

Finch?Exif: Canon 1D MK111, 600mm lens, Aperture Priority, F5.6, 1/3200 sec, ISO 1000 and -0.3 stop.
