Quick visit to Stithians nothing happening there. Went home did a spot of plumbing finished about 4pm so nipped down Marazion. Once there true to form it rained. So low light and damp to contend with. Saw the spotted crake a short distance away. It was in amongst the reeds so I selected an f stop of F9 to gain some depth of field as it was difficult to pick out the bird. This mean't I was shooting at 1/30-1/40th sec. So the shots are acceptable but not 100 million % sharp.

John.
ok so how long after i went did you see it?
About 20 minutes Rachel, I waved at everyone but I just got a really good ignoring so had it to myself. Light was very poor though without that tripod you of been lucky to get a shot. It was in that first bit of reeds on our left ie about 10ft ahead of me right on the corner.
The Grey Heron creeping through the reeds is superb Bob - it looks like front cover shot.
