Multiple Bitterns at Marazion

Following a few hours at Marazion I now reckon there are at least six or seven Bitterns present. They seemed to be everywhere today, well apart from in front of my camera early on, however that was rectified later in the afternoon. A horrible first couple of hours where the light was dull and an icey cold wind making conditions positivley Baltic. Due to the aperture ring moving on the camera I missed a close up view of a Bittern, but I am pretty sure Steve Rogers got it, so keep an eye on his blog. http://www.swopticsphoto.com/ Back to the van a cup of soup and roll to warm up and then the action started with Bitterns from all directions and I caught some on camera this time. Marazion nearly always produces the goods, but a lot of the time awful conditions have to be endured. Days like today make up for the days when you come away empty handed frozen and wet through. Hope you enjoy the images:
