Tornado Enthusiasts day at RAF Marham

With the Tornado about to retire from service in the Royal Air Force a final opportunity to visit these iconic jets was offered to enthusists. I was fotunate enough to be among the 150 or so selected. Despite dying from "man flu"  I managed to get to the event. Last place I needed to be a cold windy airfield!!! The day was well worth it, very friendly staff and three special livery airframes to mark the end of the Tornado service. Three special livery aircraft were on display outside and another in the hangar. Also in the hangar there was an opportunity to buy squadron prints, mugs badges etc. After a while taking photographs we were transported over to the runway to witness one of the jets flying. After this we went back to grab some final images, prints etc and then leave after an excellent day. Many thanks to all in RAF Marham for organising and making this event a success.

Mach Loop Visit in May 2018

This was one of those quieter visits where aircraft were pretty scare. Still managed to get some images but not as productive as hoped. So I will get straight onto the images.

Mach Loop March 2018

Another visit to the Mach Loop in March again a mixture of weather which curtailed photo opportunities, but on the plus side created some nice winter back drops. A visit to a slate mine was inaccessible on this occasion and an attempt to find an abandoned village failed. (both on the list for next time)  Nevertheless an enjoyable visit and more aviation photos in the bag. Here are some of the images:

First visit to the Mach Loop in 2018

Well results from my first visit in 2018 were a bit of a mixed bag, some good, some with snow, some days written off due to weather and a really good day due to weather!!!!! Which is what the Mach Loop is all about. Different watermark as I have a new site in developement for the aviation images: https://jetphotos.co.uk/ So straight away I will post some images as that is what your waiting for, I think?
