My first visit to RAF Coninsby and is was rather a good day. Very productive with lots of Typhoon movements, power take off and missed approaches. So here are some images from a great day out, another base to visit again in the future.

Mach Loop March 2018
Another visit to the Mach Loop in March again a mixture of weather which curtailed photo opportunities, but on the plus side created some nice winter back drops. A visit to a slate mine was inaccessible on this occasion and an attempt to find an abandoned village failed. (both on the list for next time) Nevertheless an enjoyable visit and more aviation photos in the bag. Here are some of the images:

Bloodhound SCC Testing at Newquay Airport
I was lucky enough to witness a test run of the Bloodhound SCC at Newquay Airport whilst doing a bit of aircraft photography.
The Bloodhound is powered by a Typhoon (Eurofighter) jet engine. The testing at Newquay is part of a number of tests prior to a land speed record attempt in South Africa next year.
At Newquay airport the team will carry out a public run where they will run the Bloodhound SCC at approximately 200mph. Details Here: http://www.bloodhoundssc.com/events
