Bit of a late post this one. Images taken of the RFA Argus as she departed Falmouth last Friday. The ship and approx 750 personnel, three Merlin MK2 Helicopters, assault craft etc are to assist the efforts to tackle Ebola in Sierra Leone. Good luck to RFA Argus and all her crew.

Sept/Oct visit to the Mach Loop in Wales
Well certainly picked a quite week this time. From my experience on wildlife photography patience is the key, but this week took patience to a whole new level. Two days with no aircraft, on the other three days only one aircraft in the morning! But patience paid off in the end. Still a good laugh up there with fellow photographers whilst waiting and you can't fail to be impressed by the stunning scenery and changeable weather conditions. It's just a great place to be even without the aircraft activity. Well now onto some pictures!

Red Kites at Gigrin Farm
On the way to do some low level aircraft photography in Wales last week; skies were blue and timing was right to pop into Gigrin Farm Red Kite Feeding Station. Hundreds of Red Kites turn up around 3pm in the afternoons when the food is served! Few different hides, I opted for the £17 one which is the second tallest. So many birds it's difficult to isolate them from each other. And wow they are fast when they come down to pick up the food scraps. Here is a selection of images (hopefully not to similar) next time I hope do a bit better especially on the ground shot hit rate, lol.
